Houston School Tour 2026

Assembly Grant Offered to Houston Area Schools

Subject: Emotional Resiliency

Age / Grade Level: Open to all Elementary and K-8 schools in the Houston region

Dates of Tour: January 12-16, 2026

Good News! After performing over 5,000 school assemblies nationwide, Mr. Bromley from The Game Showsters has received a grant to bring his popular BE CALM & BE KIND emotional resiliency program to 10 Houston-area elementary and K-8 schools. Thanks to the grant received, this assembly is free of charge.

This is an in-person school tour (not a livestream program) that will take place the week of January 12-16, 2026. We are now accepting applications from Houston Area Elementary & K-8 schools to be recipients of a BE CALM & BE KIND assembly program.

BE CALM & BE KIND helps students understand their emotions and manage reactions to unkind peer behavior. Your students will learn:

  • Why people are mean
  • How to stop them
  • Why people get upset
  • How to stop getting upset

These lessons are delivered by Mr. Bromley using comedy and interactive on-stage games. The grant is available to only 10 schools in the Houston area, so school representatives are advised to complete the online application promptly. (The application consists of approximately 18 questions and takes around 10 minutes.)

Selected schools will receive one complimentary 45-minute BE CALM & BE KIND assembly from the Game Showsters for their students. Additional assemblies are available for purchase at a discounted rate.

Frequently Asked Questions regarding The Game Showsters Houston Schools Tour:

Which grades are the BE CALM & BE KIND assembly appropriate for?

This tour is primarily designed for elementary and K-8 schools. While pre-school children are welcome to attend, please note that much of the content may be more suitable for older students.

Our school is situated near Houston but outside the city limits. Is our school eligible for consideration to be granted this assembly?

Yes, schools located in the surrounding area of Houston are eligible.

What is the maximum student capacity for this assembly?

There is no restriction on audience size; however, for larger schools, an additional assembly may be purchased at a significantly reduced rate.

We have many students and usually require at least two assembly performances. Can you accommodate this?

What accommodations should be provided by the school for this program?

Only minimal items are needed, such as a chair and a table for our sound system. We will provide our own show set and production equipment, including microphones.

Is this an in-school assembly or a livestream event?

All Houston Tour events are in-school assemblies, scheduled for January 12-16, when the Game Showsters travel to Texas.

Our school can't host an assembly from January 12-16 in 2026. Is another date possible for your performance?

That’s unlikely, but you may still submit an application and explain your situation.

I'm not the final decision maker for accepting this assembly. Should I still submit an application?

If you are a staff member of the school, go ahead and complete an application to the best of your ability to improve your chances in the selection process. However, final approval from the school’s decision maker(s) is required BEFORE confirming our selected schools for this tour.

We kindly request that only official school staff members complete the application.

What if school closes on our performance day?

We will make every effort to determine whether rescheduling the in-person program is feasible; however, it is more likely that the event may need to be held as a livestream program on a later date.
